NOTE LOCATION
Inspired by the historical paintings of Rubens, Poussin and David, this landmark film translates the mythical founding of the city of Rome into modern times.  Shot in Berlin, Athens and Greece, the movie is a 1960s costume drama in five acts with a ground-breaking sound-score by Jonathon Bepler that replaces all dialogue.  Due to the technical demands of this film, this event WILL NOT be held at Phoenix Art Museum.  Runtime: 80 min.

An event where every attendee has the opportunity to appraise five works of art selected by Sara Cochran, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, and vote for the one they feel should be added to Phoenix Art Museum's contemporary collection.  The selection with the most votes will be purchased by CF and the winner announced that evening.  In addition to playing curator, attendees will also enjoy a sumptuous buffet, hosted bar and unique silent auction.  $95 per person.  Reservations required.  Reservations can be made on-line (click ArtPick in column at right) or contact contemporaryforum@cox.net to receive a mailed invitation.  This event is open to the public.
