Contemporary Forum’s Annual Art Auction & Dinner, held in February of each year, is our major fund-raiser and attended by over 400 people. Funds raised at this event are used to purchase significant works of art for Phoenix Art Museum.
The live and silent auctions will feature a wide variety of contemporary artwork including ceramics, painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture and glass created by locally and nationally recognized artists. The live auction will be conducted by premier auctioneer, Letitia Frye.
This year's event will honor collector Bobbie Haas and artist Jim Waid for their contributions and support to Contemporary Forum and Phoenix Art Museum.
Over $400,000 is raised at this event. Over the years, Contemporary Forum has purchased over $3,000,000 worth of art for the Museum.
"PARTNERS WITH THE ARTS"
Contemporary Forum introduced the "Partners with the Arts" program, a collaboration with the business community, in 2008. 20 "Partners with the Arts" again participated in this program in 2009, and their generous support clearly demonstrates the important relationship between business and the arts. We are honored to have such a distinguished and diverse group of business leaders join us, and we encourage all of our members to acknowledge and support these companies. We are committed to building our modern and contemporary collection for the Ellen and Howard C. Katz Wing at Phoenix Art Museum and recognize the important role the Arizona business community has in achieving this endeavour.
