Contemporary Forum, Phoenix Art Museum
Contemporary Forum, resourceful and energetic in the
21st century global arts community, will contribute or provide funds for important contemporary art acquisitions for Phoenix Art Museum’s collection and actively explore, evolve and educate in all areas relating to contemporary art.
What follows is a partial listing of Phoenix Art Museum’s contemporary collection. Some of the pieces were contributed by Contemporary Forum, others were acquired by funds from generous donors and still others were contributions from personal collections.

These singular gifts are world-class pieces that formed the nucleus of what is becoming an important contemporary collection.
In addition to the works listed above, CF is proud of its record of promoting the cause of modern and contemporary art at the Museum and in the Valley. Among its contributions are funding of the Museum’s regional Triennial exhibitions; funding of the Matrix series showcasing Arizona artists; origination of the Scult Studio Art Scholarship, funded by former CF Board members Arlene and Mort Scult since 1996; annual Artists Grants awards, begun with funding from the Nathan Cummings Foundation; theMid-Career artist award established in 2006; the Acquisitions Endowment, also started with funds from the Cummings Foundation; domestic and international travel; lectures by renowned artists and scholars; studio visits; architectural tours; salons in the homes of private collectors; gallery openings; and much more.
